My bathroom is also better than what my original plans called for, and I'm so glad that the owner, Ilan, made the suggestion he did for the wall ledge in the shower. Such a functional feature, that eliminates the need for a plastic shower caddy to hold my shampoo and conditioner. And the combination of tile and hardwood flooring to distinguish between the family room and the rest of the house was such a great idea by Doug, the production manager. And the crew that worked at my house was clean and respectful. I am pleased as punch, and will definitely use Sigura Construction again, if ever another construction need arises!

I worked with Ilan Sigura about 16 years ago for remodeling the house my wife and I purchased and for remodeling a rental property we own in the bay area. We were very happy with the service and the quality of work. Since then we left the bay area moved to Southern California. But a few months ago the tenant in our rental property left after 12 years and we decided to do extensive work to bring the property to a better condition. Naturally, I reached out to Ilan and asked him to handle the project. I entrusted him to do the work and make some decisions on our behalf since we are not local. Sigura Construction did an excellent job. They met the cost constrained we gave them, and met the timeline committed to us. Sigura Construction has been remodeling my kitchen/living room. The construction required new load-bearing beams and significant architectural changes (plumbing, PG&E, as well as structural changes). Also, new wood flooring, painting, with new windows. Lot's of work and activity. Sigura has both met and exceeded my expectations. They are a professional team, led by a project manager that takes personal interest in the work. In one example, our PM asked that some work be re-done, it didn't meet the standard of excellence that Sigura promotes. Just like every home improvement project, there are bumps along the way, such as misunderstandings, additional work and cost unknown until the project progresses. Again Sigura has communicated with my wife and I, as early as possible, and in some instances gave us options. In the chaos of home improvement, Sigura has excelled in managing the chaos.

Sigura Construction helped me with a project involving demolishing and rebuilding my driveway. This concrete work was complex since it involved Public Works. Other contractors could not fulfill all the Public Works requirements. However, Sigura Construction was able to meet all compliance standards and proceed. Sigura Construction has been our contractor since 2014. Back then, they tore down and rebuilt our house based on the architect's designs. As with any contractor anyone has ever worked with, we had some frustrations with time delays and unexpected expenses. However, literally everyone who visits our house comments on how beautiful it is and how well built it is. We have a lot of house pride and know that Sigura Construction has a lot to do with that. In addition, true to his word, Ilan has always responded to our requests for touch ups and is always responsive to our calls and texts. We continue to call Ilan anytime we need something; we simply don't trust anyone else to do as good a job and be as reliable with the quality of work.

We typically don't write reviews, but this one is special and deserves 5 stars! The review below is long because we wanted to share our experience as the details do tell the story. The short version of it is that If you (or anyone you know) are looking for a contractor my wife and I are highly recommending Sigura construction. You won't regret this decision. The long version: The Sigura team just finished a 3-month remodeling project on our house and did an amazing job. They have completely transformed our house. The before and after looks like two different places. Night and Day. Seriously! The entire process from start to finish was fantastic. It felt different already with the quote. Ilan Sigura, the owner, was very diligent when we requested a quote. He came for an hour (maybe two) tour of our property and took very detailed notes of everything we wished to do. Within few days we received a very detailed quote. It provided all the details required to make a sound decision. If you are the person that likes details, you'd love the quotes Ilan provides. It breaks down each sub-project, line items, labor, and material. Easy to read and use for budgeting and tracking.! A week or so before the project started Ilan came again for a 2nd tour and brought with him Jose (dedicated on site project manager) and Chris (material supply). He made sure everyone on the same page and clear of what is required. This made us feel so comfortable with our decision to select Sigura constructions for our home remodeling. After all, it's a big decision and it felt we are in good hands as everyone assured us, they will treat our house as theirs. In the same meeting we also agreed on what will be done each week and, on a day,/time for a weekly follow up meeting to review progress against schedule and or issue and additional requests. We couldn't ask for better system to manage the project. Jose, our dedicated on-site project manager, is a great person and magician when it comes to constructions. He showed up every morning on time with a positive attitude and tons of energy. If he had any question, he would give us a call before taking actions. We were very impressed with the quality of his work. He never cut corners and will go the extra mile to fix any issues he sees. Jose is professional and dedicated; He took this project so seriously that he and I used to joke about him dreaming about it. We felt so lucky having him leading our remodeling. Jose's right-hand man for the project was Rudy; he is the painter and dry wall artist. He takes so much pride in his work. Each time we had the opportunity visiting the house during the remodeling he will proudly tour the house with us and showing all the work done.!! But it's not just Jose and Rudy it's the entire team that are so professional, polite, and hard workers. We were worried that with such a long project our neighbors might be annoyed and upset (I mean who likes 3 months of constant daily noise) but the on contrary; they told us the Sigura team was very polite and nice. They maintain clean street, only came during working hours and didn't take parking space. It was a relief getting this awesome feedback from our neighbors. The office crew: Ronit and Chris are also amazing. Chris made sure all required material for the different stages of the project will arrive on time. Ronit helped with any general question and did the billing. She provided details for each invoice in a very clear manner. She provides fantastic customer service and will take the time warmly answering any billing question. Last but not list; Ilan himself is hands-on. He can be reached out daily through text messages and phone calls if needed. He works around the clock and have unlimited energy and patience. He is very experienced and knows remodeling can be stressful times for homeowners and as such will make himself available when needed. He will typically respond immediately and if busy will return a call within less than an hour. He is also very honest that cares allot about his customers. He provided throughout the project so many good suggestions even if it meant less money for him! He gave us project credit because he found that an item from the original project "wish list" wasn't needed.! Unbelievable. He built his business for more than 20 years and will make sure the quality and overall experience are the best. Great experience with Sigura Construction. Yes, it was that good! I called Sigura Construction for yet another successful project. It's the 2nd time I'm using this company to remodel my house and once again they did not disappoint! Their Production Manager Doug Garis was amazing and on top of everything. Any concern or question I ever had he addressed immediately. I am very picky when it comes to my house, and I have tried working with other contractors in the past, that make promises they don't deliver. With Sigura Construction you can be sure you get what you want and even more. My flooring looks wonderful and the color they helped me choose for the entire house is perfect, even though at first I was skeptical but they once again appear to be professional and knowledgeable. I would deferentially work with them again on my next project.

Had them do a "simple" kitchen renovation. Given the age of the house, they ran into unforeseen issues. They had two plumbers working til 11PM to meet our schedule, AND they did not charge us anything extra. The owner stopped by a week later to check the work and to make sure I was happy with the job.

Our project started out as a painting project with Sigura Pro Painting, but once we were underway the painters found damaged shingles and structural damage. Sigura Construction then came in and repaired the damage so that the painting could resume. We were pleased with both Sigura ProPainting and Sigura Construction.

We have finished a major remodeling with Sigura team. The owner Ilan is very professional - understands the nuts and bolts of every aspect in the process. Provides options for everything and gets you involved in the decision process. The team was very flexible and accommodated that and helped with the design itself. The quality is top notch. Ilan will not sign off on something that is less than perfect. My husband is picky and every time he pointed as something that was done only 99% clean, the team redid it. Remodeling is scary and long; frustrating at times. Working with a team that you can trust, and nice people that you interact with on a daily basis helps. They were clean and very respectful. The results are awesome. We're very grateful and happy with how things progresses. We now have a very nice kitchen, master bedroom and a great patio Keith nana wall that we would have never considered unless Ilan insisted and it was one of the best decisions ever. Sigura's estimate was detailed and fairly priced, taking into consideration the time that would be required for permit approvals and inspections (no easy feat during COVID). During construction, Ilan and his team communicated quickly and clearly whenever something came up that required a change order (you never know what you'll find behind 80-year-old wallboard...) They brought the project in on time and on budget, and we love the results. The second project was even more impressive. Last year my family was living in Europe on a temporary work assignment when our tenants brought to our attention to a mildew problem in the bedrooms, specifically on the inside of the exterior walls. This is not what you want to hear when you are 6000 miles away! Luckily we had Ilan. He proposed an ambitious project to insulate the exterior walls from the inside using closed-cell foam insulation, and at the same time to replace all the flooring he had not yet refreshed in the bath-and-kitchen job. We told him we had new tenants arriving in a few months and everything needed to be done before they arrived. Ilan was excited for the challenge. His team handled all the details, starting with moving all our furniture into a storage container in the driveway. Then, with impressive professionalism, they executed the project precisely on schedule—and that included all the typical unforeseen challenges, like when they discovered a layer of ancient linoleum under the existing parquet floor, or when we had to relocate an old gas line to bring it up to code. My family is truly grateful for the care and diligence of Ilan, Chris, and the entire Sigura team on this project. We arrived home a few weeks ago to what felt like a brand-new house, thanks to Sigura Construction. I highly recommend working with them.

We quoted several companies and decided on Sigura because their price was competitive, they are diamond certified, and they were willing to work within the constraints we laid out. The work crew was anchored by Jose and Miguel who were very responsible, knowledgeable and caring about the quality of work provided. As needed other subs were brought in (flooring, tile, countertop) but Jose was THE GUY who kept the job on track and up to standards. They did a great job in sealing off the construction area so that dust did not intrude on the rest of the house. I contracted Sigura Construction to replace all wood paneling on the front of my house and garage, which was extensive. After demolition was completed, additional work was required due to termite damage. I am very pleased with the workmanship and attention to detail. Joel was very responsive to requests, as was the entire team. I would highly recommend them and will use them again as needed.

I am extremely happy with Sigura Construction's work on my home. There was a fire damage and none of the other construction companies wanted to work with me because they did not want to deal with my insurance company. They wanted $ handed over to them on a silver platter without having to work with my insurance. I spoke with 5-6 different construction companies, some local and some not, and after one or two conversations, they ghosted me. Nobody returned my calls or emails. I believe I called each place 6 or 7 times before I realized they did not want my business. It was frustrating and I was losing hope. My home remained damaged for a year and was a sore sight for the neighbors. Then I came across Sigura Construction. Found them on the internet. I called and spoke with the Office Manager. Then Ilan visited me and I gave him all the details. He took measurements and pictures and drafted up a quote. He and his staff were patient and unwavering and understood how to get the resources needed to fix my home. My insurance company was initially going to offer a measly amount to fix. They only cared about fixing or "bandaging" the exterior to cover the burn and maybe repair the wall. However, the damages and effects on the house were more devastating and Ilan was able to point that out to my insurance. He was so experienced at his work that he specifically described the damages and and what exactly was needed to bring the house back to its previous state which is an obligation of the insurance. He also knew the law too. Sigura Construction stuck with me every step of the way and did not abandon me like all the other construction companies out there. Truthfully, I think those companies probably were not smart enough to deal with my insurance and backed off. Anyways, I am so glad I found Sigura Construction and I will definitely use them again for anything else I need.

SIGURA just completed a total kitchen remodel, including removing and re-setting load bearing walls. I now have a open space kitchen with two wonderful skylights. Very thorough with their work, engaging and more than willing to explain and initiate change orders. The remodel also tied the living room with the kitchen to build a contiguous open space. New cabinets, appliances, granite and window added to the excellent core construction from SIGURA.

During the Christmas holiday our main water line broke. We were away on vacation and our son who was home told us that there is no water. We tried to call several plumbers but no one was available to come over during the holiday. We called Sigura Construction, which did some work for us in the past, and asked if they can help. We talked directly with the owner who was also on vacation but that didn't stop him from helping us. He made few phone calls and told us his guys can come the next day to fix everything. We hired Sigura Construction to gut and rebuild a master bathroom. From start to finish, communication was excellent. Sigura Construction was brought in to assist our company with a refresh and remodel of our employee lunchroom. We wanted to brighten the room and make it a more comfortable space for employees. Being a craftsman myself, I could tell right away their guys knew what they were doing. They were also very willing to work with us on design as we wanted our deck to stand out from the rest. We were highly referred to Sigura by friends and can not be more impressed. We had a tree fall on our almost brand new house and we needed quick and professional repair. Ilan (the owner) personally handled all of the interaction with the insurance company shielding us from all the messiness there and came out to perform the work within a week of the final insurance approval. He followed up promptly with a site visit to make sure we were personally satisfied with all aspects of the job even though this is considerably a very small project for his company. I am doing this review mainly to honor my husband who passed away before completion of the remodel of his old ranch house. My husband worked closely with Ilan and his great crew, Chris and Jose. It was a complete remodel which at time was quite challenging. Ilan's diligence in getting approvals of the city of Sunnyvale were very daunting at times, but eventually he got it done. There were glitches from time to time but after several meetings and phone calls, the work had been corrected and completed and the house was completed. The end result was a gorgeous new and elegant house. The open floor concept with its high ceiling and sky lights is a great plus for the once old and dark ranch house from the 70's. My wife and I recently had a total kitchen remodel done by Sigura. This included new cabinets, appliances, lighting, electrical code upgrade, flooring, tile, and paint. We quoted several companies and decided on Sigura because their price was competitive, they are diamond certified, and they were willing to work within the constraints we laid out. The work crew was anchored by Jose and Miguel who were very responsible, knowledgeable and caring about the quality of work provided. As needed other subs were brought in (flooring, tile, countertop) but Jose was THE GUY who kept the job on track and up to standards. They did a great job in sealing off the construction area so that dust did not intrude on the rest of the house. From construction start to finish was seven weeks and considering the amount of work involved, we were pleased with this relatively tight timeframe.
